She's a veteran

Kennedy is officially a veteran ballet dancer. She's completed her second year of dance. This time last year, my sweet girl was the smallest in her class. She was in what's called "Pre-Primary" which is girls under the age of five. Since she hadn't even turned four yet, she had to repeat Pre-Primary. What a difference a year makes. This was last year:

And now, this year:
At this recital, she knew the steps even better and was one of the tallest in her class.
Power & Grace Dance Studio does a recital in the fanciest way possible! Dress rehearsals, full make-up and hair... and he recital at The Strand. It's a lot of work, but I think the payoff is worth it. Seeing our sweet girl on the stage brought tears to our eyes.

She says she doesn't want do dance again next year.... but I think she's just a little burned out. She was a tired dancer after the final performance. Daddy carried her all the way to the car.We will take a break this summer and fall and see if she wants to try again next spring. If not, that's okay, too. Maybe she'll find something else she likes better. Either way, I'm proud of my little angel.
